Hi guys, As promised i'm uploading some interior photos. Bear in mind they were quickly taken so no staging took place hence it might look a bit messy here and there. We'll be tweaking things a bit more the next few months, like the tv cabinet for instance, that will be replaced by something else to get a more fitted cleaner look. We need some more things on the walls etc. Anyway we're very happy with the house and couldn't have asked for more. Hopefully we'll get the deck done before the summer so we can clear out the garage with the outdoor setting that's keeping my car from being parked in there.
Enjoy. Hans
Hi guys,
Well this afternoon at approximately 4:30pm we were finally handed the keys to our new house. I'm not going to tell you how hard it was to get the keys today coz there's a whole story to it especially since we were supposed to get them yesterday. Hooray for banks, not, twhen they want your money they don't waste time asking for it, but when it's time for them to deliver they're as slow as f.@#$%^&.
Anyway done and dusted, the house is ours and tomorrow we're gonna start painting, yes painting. The house comes painted but we want a feature wall. We'll keep you posted with pics on all of that so don't worry. For now, just a photo of the happy couple. Not sure who the blimp in shorts is.
Catch ya's

Hi guys,
Just had a look at the house today coz Julie told me yesterday the garage door had been installed and i must say it looks gorgeous. Meanwhile the carpets in the bedrooms has been laid. The only things missing as of now are the airconditioning/heating which will go in next Thursday (12-04), the wardrobes for the spare bedrooms, all the hardware on the internal doors and the mirrors and shower screens for the bathrooms. Julie just told me she rang the builder and he said next Thursday at 4:00pm we'll have our walkthrough with him, yippieeeeeeeeeeeee. That's for us to highlight any issues we would like fixed and normally it's handing over of the keys five days later. So if all goes well we'll be the very proud owners, (well technically we're renting it of the bank for the next thirty years) of our dream home on April 20th. It's been a long time coming and we're extremely excited as you can imagine.
Here's the latest pics.

Hi guys,
I'm uploading only one photo today becuase that's about all that's interesting to show. However, the good news is that in approximately three weeks we'll be getting the keys. That's fantastic ofcourse, we're getting a bit panicked now but i'm sure we'll be ok.
The photos will keep coming even after we get the keys, just to give you an idea what it will look like with furniture.
Bye for now.

Hi guys,
Just a a small update with the latest pics. It's not moving forwards as quickly as we anticipated, tradies come and go but never seem to stay to finish a job off without having to come back a few days later. Having said that, we're still on track apparently. We're about 6 weeks away from handover so it is getting closer. Here are some of the latest pics. The tiler has been busy and the render guy started yesterday too, now the colour of that render on the porch is not the colour it's supposed to be when finished, i assume they paint it after applying it it. It's supposed to be white.

Kitchen installed, this is kinda what it looks like. Haven't put on the benchtops yet. Also a photo of the ensuite vanity which will have the same cesarstone benchtop.
Enjoy,

Hi guys,
It's been a while since my last post but there wasn't much to show or tell you once all the gyprock was in. Only the bricky has been on site and he says he'll be finished this Tuesday. Julie had the building supervisor unlock the front door the other day (yep we're locked out) to do some measuring for blinds and to her pleasant surprise there was a truck on site and it was delivering our kitchen. I've attached a few photos to give you guys a small impression of what it looks like. I had to take them through the window so quality is not great. Hopefully they're installing the kitchen this week. We are getting extremely excited now as we believe we'll get the keys the last week of April. Fingers crossed. Enjoy the pics.

Hi guys,
Here's some new photos as promised. The gyprock is partly up, tomorrow the ceiling is being done and everything is going along nicely. I spoke to the kitchen company the other day with some questions in regard to a dishwasher we bought over Christmas and they told me that the expected day of installation is late February. Can't wait. Anyway enjoy the pics.

Hi guys,
Another update from the building front. A few days before the xmas holiday i was talking to our bricky and he said that early in the new year they were going to wrap the house in plastic?? We didn't know what he was talking about but we do now. Two days ago after a visit to the chiropractor i thought let's have a look at our house. And as i drove up, the house was covered in blue wrapping. The guy who installed it was just finishing up so i had a chat to him to find out what this was about. He told me that it's a form of insulation and by installing this foil, the sparky and the gyprock guys can start on the inside even though the brickwork hasn't finished yet. So that to was an indication that they're running behind somewhat. It's also nice to have extra insulation to keep electricity and gas bills down. Normally you would have to pay to have that extra insulation, so a bonus for us. Next wednesday the gyprock is being delivered and the sparky will probably come in this monday. All this throws a little spanner in the works coz i didn't expect it so soon and i haven't bought my speaker cable yet and i'm supposed to run that behind the gyprock so i don't have any cables running along the floor. So tomorrow i'm going shopping for that and some ethernet cable too coz i want to run ethernet cables to the tv's in the bedroom and living room and all hidden of course. Anyway next week we'll have internal walls, naturally i will take some photos and post them. So stay tuned for the next update some time next week.
